The first wave of clean energy investments have
been in solar solutions. Now that investments have taken place for decades,
the verdict has been coming in on solar solutions: some have evaporated, some
have excelled, some are STILL up and coming, and some are amongst the walking
dead. This leaves investors wary about funding new solar solutions,
particularly if they are 'me-too' solutions, without innovation in technology
or business models.

We are in the midst of a clean tech revolution:
companies big and small are focusing on delivering a wide range of
earth-saving products and services. Investments continue to be strong in this
sector, but most companies aren't yet getting the funding they need to
complete prototypes and bring the product or service to market. And most
customers are still electing the status quo over more costly, greener
solutions as we have not reached grid parity for most clean green offerings.
Our panel this month will speak from both sides:
how companies are managing to get financing to deliver their clean green
solutions, and what they are doing to partner with investors of all ilks to
help customers pay for the clean green solutions they seek.

Clean
energy has certainly generated the buzz – because it represents the
convergence of existing technologies and businesses while also addressing the
social and ecological benefits of interest to clients, partners and
customers, among other factors. But the sheer diversity of the industry –
from energy generation to energy management and distribution, from
transportation to building to smart device solutions, from services to
manufacturing – makes it difficult to understand, analyze and grow.

Testimonials about FountainBlue's
Clean Energy Entrepreneurs' Forums
There
was no better resource and group to facilitate my transition from high tech to
clean energy. Linda Holroyd and FountainBlue are top-notch, as focused on
inspiring as on connecting and making a tangible difference for me personally,
for companies in general, for the industry overall.
FountainBlue's
events are THE first I tell people about who are interested in Clean Tech
networking. I even tell people from as far as Portugal to attend, as I always
benefit from the information and the networking.
It's
amazing the range of personalities FountainBlue events have: from the
collegial, open, action-oriented roundtables of their entrepreneurs'
roundtables to the interactive discussions of their Transitions events, to the
panel discussions on business trends of their entrepreneur events, to the
business and leadership discussions of their When She Speaks events. Each one
features precisely the networking and educational needs of their diverse
audiences, and definitely stimulates discussion and forges action. I invite you
to experience the FountainBlue difference. It will be worth your time and
investment.
I
thought the panel discussion today was outstanding because of its depth and
detail. It was one of the best cleantech panels I've ever attended.
Linda's
organization, FountainBlue, has emerged as a premier provider of networking
events with an ecosystem of entrepreneurs, industry leaders and investors,
particularly in Life Science and Clean Tech.
I attended their
entrepreneurship-focused event last week and was floored by FountainBlue's flair
for building enterprising communities, one conference at a time.
