Franchising Opportunities

At FountainBlue, we foster transformative leadership one conversation, one leader, one organization at a time by producing quality networking and educational opportunities for clean energy, high tech and life science decision makers in Silicon Valley. We are strong supporters of collaborative leadership, and believe that transformative change must take place face to face. We therefore welcome opportunities to franchise our events and leverage the FountainBlue brand and processes to conduct weekly events and build dynamic communities in other geographic locations and for other industries. 

We welcome conversations on your plans for producing events which meet the FountainBlue standard:

  • Emphasize Networking – quality people from different perspectives are in attendance
    • Collaborative – corporate, academia, financial, labor, government
    • Cross-Sector – across companies, industries, roles, investment levels, etc.,
    • Community Focused – a community is created around the efforts and everyone is welcome to include other quality stakeholders to the community
  • Are Educational – program is on a relevant topic of interest to entrepreneurs and other stakeholders. Learnings are documented and sharing of learnings is encouraged.
    • Evolving – Trends and Best practices are constantly redefined
  • Are Organized and Efficient – productive use of time for everyone, efficiently organized and run
    • Reproducible – Best practices may be shared across geographic regions, and it would benefit everyone to share the information
    • Results-Oriented – Adds tangible value to companies/entrepreneurs, investors, academics, sponsors, providers, etc.,
  • Are Business-Driven, Community-Oriented – Both business and community play a role, but financial and business factors must take the lead for sustainable efforts

Our When She Speaks Women in Leadership Series has generated a lot of interest and momentum within Silicon Valley and beyond. As we know that the topics we cover monthly are of interest to women and men around the world, we have provided opportunities to franchise our series to your region.

Contact us for more information about franchise opportunities in your area. You may also want to attend a When She Speaks event in Silicon Valley or in San Francisco to better evaluate the opportunity.


Requirements for Each Franchise:

  • Each potential organizer must contact us at info@fountainblue.biz to inquire about franchising opportunities in your geographic location. We will coordinate with you over e-mail and over the phone to ensure the right fit. We are looking for organizers who are: well connected in their local business community, experienced with producing events, and have a track record of ongoing customer service.
  • Should the organizer be invited to participate in a trial period of producing When She Speaks events, FountainBlue will provide programming, outreach and marketing support the organizers for the first two month trial period for a nominal fee.
  • If we decide on both sides to continue the program after this initial period, we will charge a nominal franchise fee each month per location, for permission to use our event brand name such as 'When She Speaks' or 'Clean Energy Entrepreneurs' Forum' and for ongoing marketing, program, outreach and management support.

We work with our franchise owners to:

  • Establish a New Franchise
    o    Strategize Objectives and Plan Monthly Topics and Themes to Meet Objectives
    o    Provide Guidelines for FountainBlue brand
    o    Create Local Cross-Marketing Partnerships Development
    o    Develop and Implement General Outreach Strategy
    o    Provide On-Site Operational Support
    o    Develop and Implement Processes for Managing Events
    o    Create Community for Ongoing Communications
  • Provide Ongoing Support
    o    Recruit Panelists, as Appropriate
    o    Provide Ongoing Support of Franchise, as Part of the FountainBlue brand
    o    Provide General Outreach Support
    o    Provide Off-Site Operational Support
    o    Provide Off-Site Support for Managing Event Processes
    o    Provide Off-Site Support for Managing Event Outreach Strategies and Cross-Marketing Partnerships
    o    Provide Off-Site Support for Communicating with Established Communities
