Independence from Oil - Green Transportation Wednesday, July 4 from 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. – Burgess Park City of Menlo Park's Independence Day Celebration Kepler's will sponsor a tent that will have information on green transportation and the independence from oil.Representatives will include Sherry Boschert, president and co-founder of the San Francisco Electric Vehicle Association and the author of Plug-In Hybrids: The Cars That Will Recharge America. Eco-Travel Wednesday, August 1 at 8:00 p.m. – Kepler's This event is hosted by Mark Copus of the Meridian WorldTravel Group, Menlo Park. Owner Ed Phillips will be a major participant in the promotion and facilitation of the event.The objective of the evening will be to provide guests with the knowledge that there are alternatives to traditional tourism – ones that open doorways to exciting and unique travel experiences that make a positive impact on the destination and minimize the environmental footprint of the visit. The presentation will focus on responsible tourism, which promotes positive cultural and environmental ethics in travel and provide insights into the top destinations for eco-travel.
